Francesco - Life in Travel
Cycling Corsica, my first solo bicycle tour, was my graduation gift. I cannot deny that the planning was approximate since on Friday afternoon I started figuring out the destination of my one-week trip (it had to be one week long, close to home, cheap and in a place with mild temperature in February too), and on Sunday I left. At the beginning my idea was to cycle on the Danube cycleway: closer to "my" Trentino bit certainly far from my idea of warm climate I wanted... rejected! Next idea: Camargue and the southern coast of France until Barcelona (where I wanted to visit an aunt of mine): too far... impossible to make it!
There are many types of front rack for bike, different in the hold they can carry, the bicycle they can be mounted on and mostly in the use you are going to do with them. In this article, we'll analyze some types and then we are focusing on some bicycle touring front racks.
The best photo apps for travelers in this article, remember, are just some of my favorite ones.
My biggest passions, after my family, are bicycle tourism and photography. When I'm home I always shoot with my reflex camera, which I always carry during my journeys. But in the last years, I enjoyed combining the "classic" photography with some experiments using my smartphone, in order to create content for the web, for the social media especially. During this time I stumbled upon dozens of photo apps for Android: some useful, some less. Since there are a lot of these apps in the Google Store, I decided to enlist those which, in my opinion, are the 11 Android best photo apps for travelers.
At the foot of the Pale Mountains of Trentino there are many Dolomites cycling routes to discover. Under Dolomites of Brenta you find for example a 25 km itinerary allows visiting small villages, lakes, natural and cultural areas by bicycle: it's the Val Rendena Cycle Path, from the artificial lake of Ponte Pià up to Carisolo, in the heart of the valley.
From this basin, the itinerary reaches Tione following the river Sarca to then turn towards North, towards Madonna di Campiglio.
One of the most interesting areas crossed during our long European bicycle journey called NPJ, No Plans Journey, is a great region of Romania, which reminds us stories of vampires, bears, and wild mountains... yes, you already figured out what I'm talking about. We crossed Transylvania by bikes, in Romania, from Brașov to Sighișoara closing a 900 km (almost) ring up and down on the Carpathian Mountains, really hard but definitely satisfying.
