Finally after 4 months of waiting, almost 7000 kilometers traveled, and more than 4000 pictures taken, I can begin to tell you about my "Australian days"! Unfortunately, or fortunately, the first 120 days "Down Under" have flown among travel, meetings, work, friendships, discoveries, problems and surprises.
Tramonto nel deserto

Now I am in Perth, the main city of Western Australia, the largest of the six states that make up Australia (the others are New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland). I'll try to summarize in a few lines all the events followed one another in this period but will not be easy: as knows well who is been traveling at least once, a vagabond life proceeds at 200 km/h and there are rarely breaks and gaps, despite the time to reflect and "breathe" do not miss. But even these moments are rich of sensations and emotions that i would like to tell. It's enough to say that until now I have written about 200 pages of diary. Returning to the main topic, my trip, it started from Sydney, where I stayed for about a week, guest of a distant relative (whom I thank warmly and greet) by whom I'll be back soon. After a transfer of 1200 km to the south, passing only for a quick day visit Australian capital Canberra, I came by bus (4.00 am) in a small town in the countryside of Victoria state, Shepparton.
Remarkable rocks
Here I worked for three weeks, picking grapes and apples, and even a bit of dollars for my trip. After the harvest I moved to Melbourne just after the Formula 1 Grand Prix won by Ferrari and during swimming world championships that I could not see. From Melbourne, day trip to Phillip Island to watch the penguins return to shore at night (Little penguin: the smallest among all these funny birds) after a day of fishing offshore. Leaving the cold and rainy city, I headed west along the beautiful Great Ocean Road admiring Twelve Apostles and other beautiful coastal scenery. After sea, mountains... into Grampians N.P., full of kangaroos that often we have risked investing. After moving to Adelaide, I spent two intense days on Kangaroo Island and then I found a passage to Perth, 3000 km to the west. The journey from Adelaide to Perth is lasted about 3 weeks (initially we expected to complete it in 10 days) that led us in the Flinders Ranges NP, along the entire coast of the Eyre Peninsula, through the magnetic Desert Nullarbor Plain (where our car broke down, 1000 km away from a town that you can define that!) and finally along the wild coast of south-west, home to surfers and dolphins, to get to Perth in an evening with a breathtaking sunset on the indian ocean.
Sydney harbour
After a brief stay in town, I returned south going to work for the next two months in a farm in the Margaret River region, stopping in a beautiful hostel on the beach in Dunsborough. And now, back in Perth, i'm looking forward to discover the north west on a journey: "only" ten days will lead me to visit the Pinnacles Desert, the Kalbarri NP, Shark Bay, Ningaloo Reef and the Karijini NP before returning to Perth and from there fly to Sydney where i will meet two friends with whom i'll complete the ring along the east coast and through the desert, visiting Uluru before returning to Melbourne ... but these are other trips in the trip, and I tell them on the way !!!!!! due amici d`infanzia con cui completero` l`anello lungo la costa orientale e attraverso il deserto dell`interno, visitando Uluru per poi tornare a Melbourne... ma questi sono altri viaggi nel viaggio, e ve li raccontero` strada facendo!!!!!!
