Sicily has always been a goal sought by cyclists, both for the ideal climate and the possibility of combining long rides a few yards from the sea with a visit to buildings of rare beauty. I was so bewitched by this marriage and, once again with Nicola's company, I wanted to know this land full of contradictions. Our journey started in Catania, has led us to climb Mount Etna still fresh. Then we have directed south, reaching the quiet and beautiful Syracuse. A detour to the west has led us to cross the terrifying area close to Gela and then to reach Agrigento (what a orrifing view those buildings close to the valley of temples!) continuing to Trapani. From here we climbed to Erice and we finished the tour in Palermo.
